Features roundup: What did Saily add in October?

The Saily eSIM app had a very busy October! The team added new features like flight tracking and a detailed data usage monitor. Ultra users got access to great-value phone number bundles, and Saily credits became easier to manage. That’s not even half of it, though — you can read all the latest in this month’s features roundup.

Features roundup: What did Saily add in October?

The changes at a glance

Seven useful new features landed in the Saily app this October:

  • Flight tracker. Check your flight status, gate number, and arrival time.

  • Coverage map. Monitor signal strength across 200+ destinations.

  • Data usage tracker. See what activities are using the most data.

  • Ultra phone numbers. Get a US number with your Premium-tier Saily Ultra plan.

  • Hostinger Horizons integration. Access a powerful AI website and app builder as an Ultra user.

  • Network disruption alerts. Find out if local networks are down.

  • Expiration tags for Saily credits. Keep track of your in-app credits more easily. What’s new? Top features

Among all the exciting features added in October, three really stood out. What do they have in common? They all make traveling a smoother, more convenient experience.

Flight tracker

Flight tracker

You can now track your flight status without leaving the Saily app. Before you travel, just add your flight number to the in-app tracker — or the numbers of multiple flights. Now it’s like you’ve got a personal assistant monitoring all your flight info. Delays? Gate changes? You’ll know about them right away.

It’s up to you when you add your flights — you could set the tracker up in advance or do it on your way to the airport. Either way, adding flights takes just a few seconds and can be done at any time prior to your flight.

The Saily flight tracker also makes group trips a little easier. If your plane lands first, you can check your friends’ flight status and check exactly when they’ll get in. They’re delayed? Maybe you’ve got time for that coffee after all!

Coverage map

Every country has a few areas with weak (or even no) coverage. Understanding where your service might drop helps you plan for periods without translation apps, messaging, or live maps. That’s where Saily’s coverage map comes in handy.

Check the map for any of Saily's 200+ destinations to see where mobile service is strong and where it starts to drop. Crucially, Saily’s coverage map shows you where the dead zones are — the places where you’ll be completely offline. If you enable location permissions on your phone, you can even see where you are on the map in real time.

If you’re going on a hike and you can see the area has no service, you can let your loved ones know in advance when you’ll be off the grid. Going to a remote village where you can’t rely on translation apps? Write down some helpful words in advance or grab a physical phrase book. With Saily’s coverage map, signal drops won’t catch you off guard.

Data usage tracker

Running out of data abroad is nobody's idea of a good time. The more you understand your usage habits, the less likely it is to happen. Saily’s new usage tracker makes it easier than ever to manage your data and avoid unpleasant surprises.

The Saily app already tracks how much data you've used and how much is left. Now you can see your past data usage in categories like streaming, social media, and messaging. If you’re doing something that burns through more of your data allowance than you’d like, you can spot it before you run out.

In other news…

There’s more? Yeah, we weren’t exaggerating when we said October was a busy one. Saily launched new Ultra Premium bundles that include mobile data, a phone number, and voice minutes — all under one payment plan. Ultra subscribers also get access to Hostinger Horizons, a powerful AI app and website builder. Digital nomads, this one’s for you.

It’s not just Ultra travelers who have reason to be happy this month, though. All Saily users now get alerts about local network drops and service disruptions. Pair that with the new coverage map, and it’s never been easier to stay ahead of outages.

That has to be everything, right? Well, not quite. Users have been earning Saily credits for a while now — they’re an in-app currency that can be spent on eSIM plans. To ensure that you make the most of these rewards, Saily now includes an “expiring soon” tag on credits that run out in the next 30 days.
